This site provides general eye-health education. It cannot replace individual assessment by a registered doctor, and does not offer personal diagnosis, prescriptions, bookings, sales or referrals.
If translations differ or are incomplete, the Traditional Chinese (zh-Hant) text on this site prevails.
Tick the situations that apply, then print or copy the list for your own doctor. This is not a booking form and this site does not refer.
This tool is not a diagnostic tool. Whether results appear normal or abnormal, they cannot replace an eye examination. If you notice new vision changes, seek care promptly.
Cataract consultation
- Is cataract affecting driving or reading now?
- Is the target focus distance for distance, near, or something else?
- Is corneal astigmatism enough to discuss a toric lens?
- Are the macula and optic nerve suitable for multifocal or EDOF designs?
- Is overnight stay or observation needed after surgery?
- How is posterior capsule opacification different from a “returning cataract”?
A demonstration is not an examination and cannot replace dilated fundus exam, visual field or OCT. A normal result here does not rule out disease. New changes need prompt review by a registered ophthalmologist; sudden vision loss — go to A&E. This site does not book or refer.
